1915: Harvesting Rainwater

Lodge water is used on site to harvest rainwater for production.

1950: Recycled Vinyl

Post-production vinyl is recycled.

1992: ISO 9001

ISO 9001 quality certificate attained.

1998: PUR Launch

Polyflor launches low maintenance PUR for reduced environmental impact.

2000: ISO 14001

Polyflor gains ISO 14001 environmental certification. 

2001-2010

2005: BRE Global

Products are individually assessed by BRE Global, achieving A+.

2005: VOC

First VOC emissions tests.

2007: Recovinyl

Polyflor joins Recovinyl.

2009: Recofloor Established

Polyflor co-founds Recofloor, the waste vinyl flooring recycling scheme.

2009: FloorScore

FloorScore® VOC certification is achieved.

2010: Global GreenTag

Products achieve Global GreenTag LCARate certification.

2011-2020

2011: New Fleet

Polyflor’s new fleet has Euro V compliant engines for reduced emissions.

2011: Vinyl Plus

Polyflor joins Vinyl Plus.

2011: Carbon Footprint Improves

Polyflor improves its carbon footprint, reducing energy use by 43% and reducing carbon emissions by 15,236 tonnes.

2012: Launch of Expona Simplay

Expona Simplay is launched, a premium loose lay LVT that is adhesive-free reducing environmental impact.

2013: SA 8000

SA 8000 certification is achieved.

2013: BES 6001

BES 6001 certification for Responsible Sourcing and Sustainability is obtained.

2014: Improving Efficiency

Economiser installed on steam boiler increasing boiler water feed temperature to boiler, improving efficiency.

2015: Green Company

Winner of ‘Made in the North West – Green Company 2015’.

2015: BS OHSAS 18001

BS OHSAS 18001 is achieved.

2016: Recycle Award

Recofloor wins the Let’s Recycle Award for Excellence in Recycling & Waste Management.

2017: Improved Fleet

All Polyflor’s HGVs are replaced with Euro VI engines for lower emissions.

2018: Record Year for Recofloor

Recofloor has a record year, recycling 570 tonnes of waste vinyl flooring from the UK. Recofloor Australia and New Zealand recycle 18.5 tonnes, more than double the previous year.

2018: New Forklifts

Modern, electric forklift trucks replace diesel ones.

2019: Anniversary

Recofloor’s 10-Year Anniversary.

2020: Renewable Electricity

100% renewable electricity used.

2021-Present
